The Center for Advanced Computing and Data Systems (CACDS) provides high performance computing resources to enhance research and education. CACDS emphasizes training as a means to facilitate HPC-enabled research, to support the university’s educational mission and to contribute to regional workforce development. It has created two state-of-the-art training laboratories and a program of training in basic as well as advanced training in HPC technologies.

CACDS’s Training, Education and Outreach Services goals are to:

  • Prepare the current and next generation of researchers, educators and technology innovators to use the computational tools available to them to achieve their objectives;
  • Expand, strengthen, and diversify the UH science, technology, engineering workforce;
  • Inculcate the use of digital services into routine research practices for advancing scientific discovery.
